My academic specializations include modern Hebrew literature (with a focus on poetry), literary translation (theory and praxis), and comparative criticism. I am the author of the monograph Strange Cocktail: Translation and the Making of Modern Hebrew Poetry (University of Michigan Press, 2018) and co-editor of Minding Borders: Resilient Divisions in Literature, the Body and the Academy (Legenda, 2017) and After Clarice: Reading Lispector’s Legacy in the Twenty-First Century (Legenda, 2022). In addition to teaching in the areas of translation, Jewish Studies, and Hebrew literature, I have taught workshops on literary translation and creative writing at the University of Oxford, Cambridge University, Harvard, Ritsumeikan University, among others. More recently, I have had the opportunity to share my work on videogames, poetry, and translation as a guest lecturer at Brandeis and Bar Ilan University. Forthcoming publications include “Ludic (Translation)” in Translationality: Literature Across Languages (Oxford UP), edited by Matthew Reynolds, and “Poetry Makes Games Better” in The Game Narrative Kaleidoscope, edited by Jon Ingold. My MFA thesis game Vya draws directly from my scholarly interests and experience, specifically in its attention to multilingualism, poetry, and translation. I received my PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and am an associate professor of modern Hebrew literature at the University of Oxford.
